Crime Committee
This Committee monitors criminal as well as "nuisance" activity and reports on relevant problems and actions to address the activity. Please contact Kirk Groome if you would like to volunteer for the Crime Committee:
- Neighborhood Watch - Contact our Neighborhood Watch coordinator, Carroll Grevemberg, if you would like to serve as a block captain. MARI has divided our area into 19 zones for assignment of block captains.

- Liason with NOPD - MARI Members attend a monthly meeting ("NOPAC") held by the NOPD, 2nd District which anyone can attend on the 3rd Tuesday of every month @ 7 p.m., Touro Hospital 2nd Floor. NOPD discusses local crime issues and answers neighborhood questions.
- The Commander of the 2nd District says that NOPD officers are walking in these areas.
- Crime Data - One source for updated information on crime in our neighborhood comes from Tulane's Off Campus alerts found here.
- Crime Complaints - Neighbors can contact the NOPD directly using NOPD phone directory, or submit a complaint through a NOPD 2nd District Hot Sheet to address criminal activity in our neighborhood.
- Quality of Life Complaints - Neighbors can contact our Quality of Life Officer, Willford Eddington, by calling him at 658-6029 or 658-6020.
