Special Projects Committee

Part of MARI's mission is to broaden its scope to match the interests of its members. MARI would like to be the vehicle through which motivated residents seek to organize social, cultural, community service, or other projects. For example, MARI would like to explore a Christmas in October project sponsored by the PRC. As another example, MARI would like a sponsor and coordinator for an annual block party or other social event. As another example, MARI would like to be a forum to promote the businesses that add to the quality of life in our neighborhood.

Now is the time to volunteer and lead these or other efforts for Maple Area Residents, Inc. So please contact us to discuss your ideas.

A recent example of a special project was the Maple Street Tree Project on February 3, 2007 in which MARI partnered with Parkway Partners, area businesses, and neighbors to plant 43 trees on Maple Street.
